Salmon parasite

Research shows, for the first time, that parasitic sea lice infestations caused by salmon farms are driving nearby populations of wild salmon toward extinction by killing vulnerable young salmon.
The impact is so severe that the viability of the wild salmon populations is threatened.

in 1980 only 9% of fish consumed by people came from farms,.now it is 43%
